The results.
Pokeberry dye on wool yarn.

After the water has evaporated we are left with this. In the end a few ounces of powder resulted for later use.

The inspiration for my felt sunflower pins. I try to mimic the Fibonacci sequence of seeds with seed beads and Swarovski crystal.

The results.
My first attempt at ice dyeing on silk with powdered acid dye. As the ice melts the color slowly contacts leaving organic patterns on the fabric underneath
Finished scarves on a variety of fabrics including habotai silk, silk chiffon, silk organza, raw silk, wool felt, wool gauze, and silk/wool blends.
My own variation on kumo shibori, where fabric is pleated and compressed between pieces of wood.
Experimental resists, one is a mandala tie.
More silk scarves and some ribbon.
Dyed scarves prior to being removed from the poles.
Steam compartments home made to fit canning pots. Poles wrapped with scarves are suspended in steam for 3 hours to set the dye and texture.
Wrapped shibori scarves on poles ready for a second dye handpainted. Acid (vinegar) dyes are used.
